The Director II of Investment Accounting will manage certain investment accounting functions for the Company?s $81 billion investment portfolio. This role?s responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:. Quarterly investment reporting for SEC Filings, Statutory financial reporting as well as reporting to the Company?s Parent, Dai-ichi Life Holdings, Inc. . Monthly management reporting and analysis on the Company?s investment portfolio. Monthly investment income allocation process whereby investment income is allocated to product lines. Anaylsis of actual income versus projected. Review and coordinate analysis of certain aspects of investment income (allocated income, plan to actual, impairments, realized and unrealized gains and losses, etc.). Other duties as assigned. Selected candidate will have the following characteristics:. Must be someone that is curious and has a desire to be continuously learning. Solid analytical skills, high level of accuracy, excellent attention to detail and willingness to be hands on. Ability to take ownership, develop and complete complex multifaceted assignments as well as coach delegates to take on these assignments. Must be organized and able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently and as part of a team taking on new responsibilities with a high level of difficulty. Ability to work closely with all Investment related departments (Other accounting areas, investment management, investment operations and asset liability management). Qualifications:. Bachelors of Science in Accounting from an accredited university. CPA designation is a plus. 5+ years of accounting experience with a strong background in GAAP accounting and exposure to Statutory accounting is a plus. Exposure to accounting for investments is a plus. Management experience is a plus. Technically proficient with systems (PAM and/or Bloomberg experience is a plus).
